If you’ve looked closely at my site, you’ll know that I love yoga (and motorcycles). That love goes beyond yoga practice and extends into a partnership with my wife, Kat, owning and running Bikram Yoga Columbia. I can count house photographer among my many duties there, and we’ve fallen into a tradition of shooting a holiday staff photo every year around this time. This year’s shoot was a lot of fun as usual, and we ended up with a couple of great choices. Kat schedules the date and makes sure teachers, food, props and accessories are all in place at the same time. I typically will cart my lights into the yoga room, pour a little wine for all my models, and shoot the results. The key to a successful shoot is heavily dependent on the wine/model ratio, and this year we got it just right!
